How to Effectively Deal With the Bully in Your Life

There's no point in trying to embark on a mature compromise with someone who behaves in a near-deluded manner. Why would someone be so manipulative and self-protective? Don't they know how much they hurt others? The retort is: there is no answer, and it isn't your problem. If you can't physically remove yourself from someone who tries to control you and others, you can do the next best thing - learn to cope. Here are some Bully Prototypes and how to deal with each of them.

1. Your Boss the Bully.

Unfortunately, people in power positions often have issues. The superior Bully Boss displays micro-managing tendencies, is self-absorbed, controlling, and narcissistic. He will lie through his teeth and try to put the blame on you when things fall through the cracks. You can't trust a bully like this as far as you can throw him.

Solution: Never lose faith in your own abilities, no matter what crap this someone is dishing. Retell with your bullying boss as little as possible; if you must speak, toss a few compliments his or her way through your teeth. Then, get to work construction up alliances with everybody else except for this person, along with his boss. You will speedily learn that your bullying boss bullies everyone, not just you. Hey, with any luck maybe you can get him fired!

2. Your Parent the Bully.

Having a parent who is manipulative and hurtful is one of the toughest things to deal with in life. Growing up with a bully in the family can mean that you're forever caught in the Wrong... Even when you know you're right. A bullying parent uses passive-aggressive tricks to turn you into a fighter by nature... Forever on the defensive!

Solution: The first thing you must do to support your sanity is get away from them as soon as you can. Move out on your own as soon as you're of age. The next step is to suggest they seek help. If they refuse, which is likely as bullies typically live in total denial, you are simply going to have to behaviorally control them. That means that every time you're in their proximity and they start picking fights and playing mind games with you, just leave. Every singular time. Tell them that you will not tolerate them behaving in an infantile manner, and then make yourself scarce. If these incidents make you feel upset, seek security with a loving and insight friend who can play the role of supportive nurturer where your parent does not. Above all, never feel guilty, no matter what the bullying parent tells you. You have done nothing wrong!

3. Your Partner the Bully.

This is a tough one. Why would you ever think of dating someone who is unreasonable... Or worse, find yourself married to them! people who end up permanently attached to controlling personalities probably were heavily influenced by someone in their family who was probably also a bully.

Solution: If you feel that your spouse or partner is forever turning the tables on you, backing you into conversation traps, and ordinarily sucking the life out of you, go talk to a consultant and get some insight into your own personality. Find out what makes you tick, and why something that happened in your past might be causing you to seek approval from someone who will never give it. When you feel strong enough to stand on your own two feet, suggest that the Bully also seek help in the form of therapy. If they continue to refuse, you must leave them, no two ways about it. This isn't easy, especially if you're raising a family together, but that's what you must do. Seek advice and support from loving friends and other family members, and of policy your therapist.

You are in no way indebted to any other human being in your life other than you. You are free to go. If someone is trying to control you, just run! Run far, far away. Seek expert help. Learn to love yourself and live a life without guilt and strife. You can do it!

The Next Generation of Corvette's Heads Up Display

The Next Generation of Corvette's Heads Up Display

The Heads Up Display that has adorned many Corvettes for years now may be cutting edge technology, but as far as Gm is involved it is becoming antiquated. That seems like a stretch, but Gm is currently working on the next generation of the Heads Up Display and this time it is filled with even more high tech goodies.

The Next Generation of Corvette's Heads Up Display

Imagine traveling down a road and all of the sudden you are engulfed in thick fog. What do you do? You can't risk stopping as there is no visibility and someone may hit you from behind. You can't pull over because the shoulder is too narrow. Your only option is to press on and hope that you can make out the curves in the road fast enough.

This nightmare scenario will be eliminated with the next generation of the Heads Up Display for the Corvette. The ideas will use a laser reflecting off of phosphors that are in the actual windshield of the vehicle and use the data ahead to create a line depending on which way the road should bend. If there is a curve forthcoming you will see it well before it occurs.

The new Heads Up Display does not stop there either. Using the same technology it will continuously scan the landscaping ahead of you and give you feedback instantaneously. This comes in handy particularly at night time as the night foresight like ideas can detect and record objects ahead such as other vehicles, animals, and even children.

Also with the new Heads Up Display comes the descriptive circling of speed limit signs as they appear. This formula of highlighting the speed limit in the area you are in is designed to permanently let you know how fast you should be traveling. Now there is no excuse to speed, not that you won't in your Corvette, but now there just won't be an excuse.

Along with the Corvette Gm plans on putting this technology in other vehicles as well. It will obviously make its way into some of the Cadillacs of the Gm fleet and some lesser models that you may not expect the technology to go in may end up with it too. Don't be surprised if Gm offers it for all of their models as an option in order to draw in more customers.

So when will this ultra high tech tool be available? It would be nice if Gm could coordinate the publish of this technology with the 2013 Corvette as that would make for a fitting 60th birthday present, but that does not seem like it is going to happen. Agreeing to sources at Gm's study and improvement Department, if there are no snags along the way, the new Heads Up Display technology will be ready no earlier than the 2017 model year.

Until then Corvette owners will just have to deal with what they have, not that it is all that bad really. It just goes to show how far the automotive manufactures has come. At this pace it won't be too much longer before Corvette owners will be flying their Vettes in any place instead of driving them.

The Fire is designed primarily as a Media consumption expedient which runs on a modified version of the Android Os. Does the Kindle Fire have what it takes to scorch the competition in the Tablet world and be the tablet to beat or does it fall short? Read on to find out.

Features of the Kindle Fire

7 inch color (Ips) touch Screen (1024 x 6000 display resolution) 8Gb internal storage memory 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity Amazon Cloud for unlimited storage of article Lightweight, weighs just 413 grams A singular charge provides up to 8 hours of usage Headphone jack, built-in stereo speakers Free 1 month trial of Amazon Prime

Design

The Kindle Fire bears a strong resemblance to the BlackBerry PlayBook in terms of the weight and feel of the device. The establish itself is very streamlined, including just a Power button on the unit. With its relatively small dimensions of 7.5 x 4.7 x 0.45 inches, the Fire is small enough to fit in a reasonably sized pocket or be held one-handed.

Display

The 7-inch multi-touch display with Ips (in plane switching) provides a maximum resolution of 1024 x 600 at 16 million colors. The Isp technology used provides an perfect range of viewing angles, allowing the display to be viewed at 178° and greater.

Despite having a lower resolution than the iPad, text on the Fire's display looks crisp and sharp. The display doesn't use e-Ink technology though however, so if you want a Kindle primarily for reading I propose one of the earlier models which feature an e-Ink display to minimize eye strain over extended periods.

Connectivity

The Fire isn't too strong on the connectivity front. There is support for Wi-Fi, but no support for Bluetooth, 3G or Gps. The headphone jack is very handy for when you want to watch movies or listen to music in private.

User-interface

Amazon has taken a leaf from Apple's Book and opted for simplicity when designing the Fire. The user-interface is very uncomplicated and provides easy sailing via the touch Screen. There is a screen to flip through all your digital article plus an icon tray to store your favourite items.

Final Thoughts

When all is said and done, the Kindle Fire isn't an iPad killer, but it sure packs a punch with its spec and is a great entry for Amazon into the tablet market. The lack of cameras, extra internal storage options and 3G connectivity will be off-putting to some population who are after a full-fLEDged tablet experience, but for many who are after a pure Media consumption device, what the Fire delivers will suffice.

The low price point of the Fire and its media capabilities are hugely appealing, manufacture it worth serious notice for whatever concerned in enjoying media on the move.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 Versus The iPhone 4S - Flagship Smartphones Head To Head

The Samsung Galaxy S2 Versus The iPhone 4S - Flagship Smartphones Head To Head

Apple has recently launched their new flagship smartphone the iPhone 4S. With the smartphone market flooded with high end devices, how does it stack up against the gift of other major Players such as Samsung? In this article, I will attempt to find out by pitting the iPhone 4S against the Samsung Galaxy S2.

The Samsung Galaxy S2 Versus The iPhone 4S - Flagship Smartphones Head To Head

The Samsung Galaxy S2 has proven to be a very popular device, as was the traditional Galaxy S. In fact, the Galaxy S2 was recently crowned "Phone of the Year" by machine magazine T3. This is no mean feat, considering the fact that it faced competition from impressive some devices, with the Motorola Atrix, Htc Sensation, Htc imaginable S and Apple iPhone 4 all manufacture the shortlist. The Samsung Galaxy S2 came out on top for a amount of reasons.

The handset boasts all the bells and whistles of a high-end Android gismo in terms of software, with access to Android market and the Samsung TouchWiz Ui. Hardware wise, the gismo is impressive in pretty much every aspect. To provide all the requisite computing Power to hardware and software alike, there is a 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor which aids many aspects of the phones performance, ranging from response times of the Screen, multitasking, web browsing and many more. The camera boasts 8 megapixels, with 1080p video capture and comes with an LED flash along with a thorough package of adjustable settings and image enhancing features. The Screen is also another impressive feature of the Galaxy S2. It is large, measuring 4.3 inches, with a pixel resolution of 480x 800. With Super AmoLED capacitive Plus touchscreen technology, it is responsive, and it is noted for its capability to offer great display capability when in direct sunlight. The handset itself is very slim, at 8.5mm, and weighs just 116 grams.

The iPhone 4S is similar in many respects to the Samsung Galaxy S2, on paper at least. Software wise, the major divergence is in the operating system, with iOs running the intuitive and customisable interface. There are many aspects of the hardware which are similar; the camera is 8 megapixels, with 1080p video just like the Samsung device. Any way Apple claims that the camera on the new iPhone has many unique features such as the lens technology and the speed at which the camera operates. The latter is thanks largely to the processor, which is a 1 Ghz dual-core Apple A4 processor. Whilst this is slightly less than the 1.2 Ghz offered by the Samsung, it will hardly be noticeable during day to day use. One of Apple's advantages over the competition is its Multimedia ecosystem, which allows iPhones to couple with iTunes, iPod and AppStore. Whilst the likes of the Android market are impressive, and unquestionably catching up with Apple, it has to be said that the AppStore is excellent in terms of both capability and quantity of available Apps. The iPhone 4S has another advantage over the Samsung Galaxy S2; the fact that it is new. Therefore, Apple has had more time to include its latest technology in the handset. The new Siri and iCloud features are good examples of this, and it gives Apple the edge as this kind of technology was not around when the Samsung Galaxy S2 was released.

Choosing between the iPhone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy S2 is a close call. Technically, it would be rather unfair to say that one is good than the other. As the manufacturer's flagship phones, each has its own strengths and weaknesses. I believe that the ultimate deciding factor would be down to the individual's preference for whether Android or iOs, but having said that, Apple may have the edge thanks to its all new features like Siri and iCloud, as Samsung currently has nothing similar to offer.

Power Kites and Trainer Kites Guide to Getting Started

Power Kites and Trainer Kites Guide to Getting Started

Power kites are kites which are large in size and created to allow for a great deal of pull to the user. This allows them to be used for pulling people and things, such as surf/Snow boards, roller skates, landboards and even small buggies. They are used for lifting people higher in the Air to do tricks, stunts, or to help someone out of a jam. They can also be used simply as larger kites to fly in the sky such as for competitions. Power kites have their origins in the nineteen seventies when people began experiMenting with power kites to create a new way to move through the sky. Nowadays, power kites come in several different varieties and in all shapes and sizes, depending on what you want to use them for. They come in sizes starting at one and a half Meters square and going up to twenty Meters square-the larger ones are best used in lower wind speeds. Power kites are also known as traction kites.

Trainer kites come in different types as well, and these types vary by usefulness in a given situation. Foil kites are used for land based kite recreation, such as Snowboarding and landboarding. Leading edge inflatable kites are designed to have bladders with Air to hold their shape. They are best used for water sports because the air cells allow the kite to float and they deflate very slowly. They are between five and eighteen Meters square. Supporting edge kites are simply leading edge kites with more support so they are more easily steered. Power kites can also have different support structures, generally in the amount of guide strings they have (between two and five), handles or a bar, and control systems, such as whether or not they have brakes and how well they turn. All in all, power kites come in a variety of forms and you can easily find one to suit your needs and what you intend to use them for.

Many recreational centers as well as stores which specialize in power kites offer instruction in their use and they generally advise you take at least some instruction before starting out on your own. It's also advised that you spend some time simply flying your kite in order to get a feel for it rather than diving straight in. This way, you're prepared for your lessons and will be able to do a lot more with the instructions you're given.

Power kites are an excellent way to get extra hang time when you are surfing and boarding and power kite surfing is a popular twist on an already popular sport. Power kite boarding is a little newer, but no less popular for it. If you enjoy the thought of flying through the air with nothing more than a kite, then power kites may be the perfect thing for you to use.
